Competition The competition is characterized, first, by clashes increasingly violent, and secondly, by connivance growing between the competing firms. The purpose of this work is to better understand this paradox by studying actual cases of business. These case studies reveal, analyze and understand the behaviors, such as those which deliberately to push a competitor out of the sector to come together to harm a rival, to trigger price wars to maintain or increase its market share, to agree to answer a call for tenders, raise the costs of rivals to destabilize, to limit competition when the competition is multi, introduce competition between affiliates, to respond violently to new entries, etc.. In general, the cases show the diversity and complexity of current practices and their impact on the performance of competing firms. During the 2004 revision of the Cartel Act, a leniency program was introduced into law by the legislature to better fight against the most harmful of agreements between competitors and within the distribution ( agreements on prices, quantities and geographical distribution). This program aims both to create interest for companies participating in a cartel to expose and secondly, to increase the probability of discovery of such cartels, and thereby to simplify the work of competition authorities . The principles of the leniency program are reflected in the Ordinance on Sanctions LCart of 23 March 2004.
